Abstract

Motivasi sangat diperlukan bagi siswa untuk berusaha belajar dan meningkatkan prestasi akademik. penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai: (1) informasi tentang profil siswa di Kelas V SDIT BPMAA Kota Pekanbaru, dan (2) informasi tentang variabel yang memengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin, suku atau etnis, pekerjaan orangtua laki-laki, pendidikan orangtua laki-laki, dan umur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode survei. Teknik purposive sampling digunakan untuk mengumpulkan sampel sejumlah 50 orang. Setelah data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, analisis kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan program IBM SPSS Statistics 23 dan uji Two-Way Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) motivasi belajar siswa untuk IPA baik/bagus (mean = 4,31); (2) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam motivasi belajar siswa berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin, suku, dan pendidikan orang tua laki-laki. (3) Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa, berdasarkan nilai koefisien korelasi, ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tiap indikator.
